As the popularity of Nusa Penida grows, more and more tourists are choosing to do a day tour from Bali. And while Kelingking Beach is one of the main reasons for this, this unique Island has much more to offer. With gorgeous marine wildlife off its coast, rich culture and a whole lot of natural beauty.
To get the most out of your day tour nusa penida, there are a few things you should keep in mind. Firstly, make sure you are a decent driver as the roads on this Island can be a little rough (at best). The best way to get around is to rent a scooter and drive yourself, however, if this doesn’t sound like your thing, there are plenty of companies that run Nusa Penida tours from Bali and will include pick-up/drop-off from your hotel.
If you’re a photographer, I recommend packing some good gear with you. You’ll need a good zoom lens for the close-ups, and bring a tripod to steady your camera on those longer shots. A bathing suit and some decent footwear for those clifftop walks are also essential, especially if you’re visiting in the hotter months.
One of my favourite spots on the Island was Broken Beach, which is a pretty incredible cove with a natural arch that allows water to flow in and out of it. It also makes for a stunning spot for a picnic or an ice cold Bintang! I would also recommend taking a walk down to Angel’s Billabong, which is another natural rock pool where you can swim.
